My Favorites

Reviews of My favorite apps and widgets. It's a bit perfunctory right now, but I'll expand it later. Every app I have, I got for free. A few of them are paid apps that Amazon had up for free in their appstore (see the appstore review below), but most are free in general.
The Amazon Appstore is a competing venue to find your Android Apps. The real value of the Appstore is not really it's overall selection, but the fact that every day, Amazon has a normally paid app up on the store for free. Who doesn't like free stuff?
Amazon essentially has everything and anything for sale now, which makes this app very handy to have in your pocket. In particular, those of us who have Amazon Prime (and the free two-day shipping it provides) will love this app, since it can bring nearly any product to your door in just two days (e.g., new SD cards for your camera when you're visiting National Parks and forgot your cards at home).
A huge suite of useful tools, diagnostics, and data provision, it's handy as hell to have on your phone. In particular, I like the startup manager, since I'm not huge on task killers (I'm definitely in the camp that says they're useless in general), but there are a number of apps that have no business starting themselves up when the phone starts; the startup manager kills them for me automatically.
The king and queen of to-do lists, a must have for anyone who needs to organize their work/home/life. Relatively easy to use (though if you want truly simple, check out Do-it-tomorrow, below), but truly powerful once you start categorizing tasks. The reminders can be a bit squiffy though once you've passed your due date.
A great resource for anyone keeping track of diet and exercise. Personally, I find it much easier to make healthy choice when I'm taking the few moments to think about what I'm eating and when.
Simple, straight forward to-do list app; Do It (Tomorrow) only has lists for today and tomorrow. It's great for little items that pop up and for prioritizing. Personally, I have the "big list" categorized in Astrid (see above) and each morning take a few items and put them into Do It (Tomorrow), creating the list of things I'm going to do that day.
It's Googledocs, it's on your phone. If you use Googledocs, you'll love this.
I had Astro File Manager for a while and liked it a whole lot, I just like ES File Explorer a bit better. It's as much personal preference as anything, as the menus and functioning is a little more intuitive. You may find it's the other way around; both are great.
Probably my favorite app/widget overall. Multicon lets you put several smaller icons in a single "icon space". Personally, I like having my apps on one of my home screens and I hate scrolling through the app list. With Multicon, I have all of the apps I use easily accessible and categorized as I use them (Kayak, Delta Airlines, TripAdvisor, and TripIt are all together in the "Travel cluster" of apps, etc.).
Best game on any phone (screw angry birds), play with folks cross platform, crush their spirits...unless your vocabulary sucks, then you might have some issues.
